Certified translation is required when you submit a foreign-language document to a US government agency, court, school, employer, bank, or other institution that needs it in English. The certification is not the original document getting certified. It is a statement from the translator confirming they are qualified to translate and that the translation is complete and accurate.
We handle the full range of personal documents: birth and death certificates, marriage and divorce records, school diplomas and transcripts, national ID cards, passports, criminal background clearances, police certificates, probate documents, and adoption records. Whatever USCIS, the Social Security Administration, an employer, or a licensing board is asking for, we handle it.
USCIS Form I-130, I-485, N-400, and other petitions require any foreign-language document to be submitted with a complete English translation. The translation must include a signed certificate from the translator stating their credentials and confirming the translation is accurate and complete. We have followed this format on every certified document since 2018. Our USCIS acceptance rate on translation quality is 100% since 2020.
The majority of our certified document work in the Tampa region involves Spanish. Documents issued in Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela, Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, Cuba, and other Latin American countries are common in our work queue. We understand the formats, the official stamps and seals, and the document structures used in each country. This matters when translating correctly. A Mexican civil registry birth certificate has a different layout and different official language than a Colombian one.
Certified translations are delivered as PDF files with the translator certification attached. We match the layout of the original document as closely as the translation format allows. If you need a physical copy mailed within the US, we can arrange that at an additional cost. If you need an apostille on the original document before or after translation, we coordinate that through the Florida Secretary of State process.
