We provide interpretation via phone or video call. Most clients use Zoom or Microsoft Teams. We can also connect through WebEx, Google Meet, or any platform that supports conference calling. For phone interpretation, we use a three-way call setup. Our interpreters are professional, experienced, and matched to your subject matter where possible.
Consecutive interpretation is the most common format for business and medical use. The speaker says one or two sentences, pauses, and the interpreter speaks. This works well for conversations, negotiations, interviews, and consultations. Simultaneous interpretation is used for conferences, large presentations, and legal proceedings where continuous interpretation is needed without interrupting the flow of speech. Simultaneous requires more preparation and is typically more expensive.
For medical appointments, consultations, and healthcare settings, we provide interpreters with medical background or healthcare interpretation training. Accurate medical interpretation is critical. Miscommunication about symptoms, medications, dosages, or diagnoses has patient safety implications. Our medical interpreters follow NCIHC standards and are familiar with healthcare communication protocols.
Legal interpretation for depositions, attorney-client meetings, and court proceedings requires interpreters who understand legal procedure and maintain strict impartiality. We provide legal interpreters for civil and criminal proceedings in Florida courts. Court interpreters are certified where applicable. For federal proceedings, we work with certified court interpreters only.
For Spanish, Portuguese, French, and German, on-demand interpretation is typically available within 30 minutes during business hours (8am-7pm ET). For less common languages, 1-2 hours may be needed. Pre-scheduled sessions with 24 hours notice are available for all 200+ language pairs.
Interpretation is billed per hour, minimum 1 hour. Sessions longer than 60 minutes are billed in 30-minute increments after the first hour. Pre-scheduled sessions of 2+ hours receive a 10% discount on the hourly rate.
Yes, for Florida state courts. Our court interpreters are certified through the Florida Court Interpreter Certification program where available for the language pair required. For federal court proceedings in the Middle District of Florida, we work with federally certified interpreters.
